An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding teacher to join our thriving and successful Trust to teach and lead the development of Drama at Langdon Academy. You will be able to point to evidence of your own highly successful GCSE Drama teaching and your more general successful contribution to the life of your current school.
At Langdon, Drama is taught to all students in KS3 and is a very successful option subject in KS4. In addition to the timetable offer, the department enriches school life with significant extra-curricular opportunities, including for our Primary students who have benefitted from our expertise in this area with three consecutive productions being entered for the national Shakespeare in Schools Festival, alongside productions from their secondary counterparts.
Langdon has consolidated its position as a very successful school, but that’s not enough. The other school within the Multi-Academy Trust (Brampton Manor Academy) is one of the highest performing schools in England and it is our collective responsibility to match that standard. Happily, with excellent staff in all departments, we’re making great strides forward and are now looking for an outstanding Drama teacher and leader, with some evidence of successful leadership already, to join us in that pursuit.
Langdon Academy is a large 4-16 school, with over 1700 students in the secondary phase, and is part of Brampton Manor Trust, along with Brampton Manor Academy (an outstanding 11-18 Academy).
This appointment is a golden opportunity to strengthen our team further with a new, talented and enthusiastic Middle Leader, not only to lead Drama in all its aspects but to work alongside other subject leaders in the strategic development of the school. If your training and experience have prepared you for such a role, we’d be keen to hear from you. You will be supported by dynamic colleagues and inspirational leaders who will assist you through the next stages of your professional development.
The scale of Langdon, the fact that it also has a primary phase, and its membership of Brampton Manor Trust provides considerable opportunity for the continuing development of our staff.
Please visit our websites at www.langdonacademy.org or www.bramptonmanor.org to apply and obtain further details about this role. All completed application forms must be sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Brampton Manor Trust is committed to the safeguarding of children. Enhanced DBS checks will always be carried out on new employees.
