Due to the relocation of a member of staff we are seeking a Head of Drama or a Teacher of Performing Artls.
The Malling School is increasingly becoming the first choice school for parents. As a result, our pupil numbers are increasing and the school is expanding.

You will be/have:
- Either an excellent teacher of Performing Arts that’s looking for responsibility for Drama or an enthusiastic teacher where teaching ability is more important than the amount of experience
- The ability to teach Drama to KS3 is essential along with the ability to teach BTEC Performing Arts at KS4 and 5
- Able to direct whole school productions and other performances as part of a performing arts team
- Innovative in your approach to teaching
- Able to achieve excellent examination results for children
- Motivated by a desire to change lives
- A qualified teacher

The Malling School
A mixed 11-19 co-educational High School of 1000 pupils serving the historic market town of West Malling and surrounding villages. The school is set in pleasant rural surroundings and has its own lake and extensive grounds. It was completely re-built in September 2007 and therefore has outstanding facilities.
West Malling is close to the county town of Maidstone and has excellent rail links to London and Ashford International (for the Continent).

Our school is increasingly becoming the first choice school for parents. As a result we are currently oversubscribed. We have robust behavioural systems and Developmental Learning Walks, rather than formal observations. All of which allow a teacher to flourish and do what they do best – teach!
