Ruthin School is a co-educational, independent boarding school for around 350 pupils aged between 11 and 19.  This position has become available due to the retirement of our current Head of Economics, after 12 years at Ruthin School.

Ruthin School is situated near the beautiful Clwydian Range in Denbighshire, North Wales, and is one of the oldest public schools in the United Kingdom. The school focuses on academic excellence and has a strong family and pastoral ethos. Ruthin School is currently ranked 12th in The Times 2016 A Level League Table and 4th out of all coeducational boarding schools – www.best-schools.co.uk. 

Applications are invited to lead an enthusiastic and successful department which teaches pupils GCSE and A Level Economics.

We seek an Economics teacher with the requisite commitment to their pupils and passion for their subject. The post carries a competitive salary. 

Well-qualified applicants without PGCE/QTS are also encouraged to apply.
