Head of Emotional Support

The role

Sutton High School are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to take on the pivotal role of Head of Emotional Support.

You will lead, manage, and develop our school’s provision of emotional and mental health support, including managing the school’s online resources ensuring every student receives the care they need. Additionally, you will deliver counselling services to pupils in alignment with school policy, while offering clinical support to pastoral staff and counsellors working within the school. 

Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in imparting training to our teaching staff, empowering them with the knowledge and tools necessary to recognise and address the diverse mental health needs of our pupils.

Our ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, coupled with extensive experience in counselling children and young people across the 3-18 age range, preferably within an educational environment. Registration with BACP would be advantageous.
