The state-of-the-art school sits at the heart of its community and has the potential to grow into a truly exceptional school.

From being in special measures in 2013, Richard Rose Morton Academy has improved year on year since joining United Learning in 2014: the number of students achieving five good GCSEs including English and maths has increased by 28%, and it is now an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school. It is a happy, hardworking and harmonious place. The staff share a dedication and commitment to motivate and inspire students to achieve beyond their expectations. Together they aim to ensure that students receive an excellent experience, every lesson, every day.

The Academy is seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Music specialist to lead our newly formed Expressive Arts department comprising of Art and Design, Performing Arts and Music.

The Academy has a thriving Art department with consistently outstanding results and is a key feature of our improving school. Performing Arts has been re-introduced to the curriculum and the Academy is looking to introduce music back to the timetable for students and as such require an enthusiastic professional who can help grow this important subject.

United Learning

Richard Rose Morton Academy is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
