THE ROLE

As a member of the Technical Division’s leadership team, the Head of FA Education operates within a complex national organisation, responsible for delivering multiple education programmes to volunteers and professionals across grassroots and elite football.

The post holder will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and aspirations of FA Education, with a priority focus on ensuring that The FA becomes a world class coach educator.

FA Education also addresses the needs of research and sports science through successful collaboration with academic and sport organisations, and maximises business opportunities both at home and internationally. The FA ultimately aims to be the global hub of football research, creating new value for the organisation, and English football.

THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a track record of operational delivery across a complex organisation and a passion for education, learning and development.

Candidates will have a commercial mindset, credibility at executive team level and the ability to engage and inspire stakeholders, staff and volunteers.

No prior football experience is required although a commitment to sport as a vehicle for social inclusion and diversity.
