We seek to appoint a highly passionate and motivated Head of Faculty for our Art and Technologies department, to join our middle leadership team. The role would be ideal for an existing curriculum leader with a track record of high achievement and innovative practice however, we would consider an ambitious and successful teacher looking to develop their career.

The successful candidate will be able to provide strong strategic leadership and continue to drive forward the standards of teaching and learning. With responsibility for raising standards and driving improvement, you will be ambitious for our students and community, and fully support our school ethos and values. We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity for a Head of Faculty for Art & Technologies to join our school.

Our Art & Technologies faculty comprises of Art & Design, Textiles, Child Development, Design & Technology, Food & Nutrition, Photography and Graphic Design. Experience of leading an Art & Technology based subject would be helpful for this role although it is not essential. This role will bring together a range of subjects and subject leaders within an Art & Technologies faculty across all Key Stages. The role will include leadership and overall responsibility across all subjects within the faculty.

The successful candidate will lead a passionate team of teachers who are committed to delivering the Art & Technology subjects in engaging and innovative ways. You will be a leader who has the ability to inspire, motivate, challenge and support the team to ensure that every student makes progress within the faculty. You will have a clear vision for the success of the team and will guide them to continue to develop a provision that impacts positively on the outcomes and well-being of every student in the school.

  • Has the ability to teach outstanding lessons across the age range
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Sets high expectations of themselves and their students

  • Is able to forge positive relationships with students
