Our Results: We have a track record of excellent academic results. In 2017 43% of GCSE grades were at A*/A or 9-7, and well over a quarter of our students achieved eight A/7 grades or better. We have averaged +0.5 for Progress 8 in the three years so far (0.6 in 2017), and were a Top-100 non-selective school nationally in 2015. At A level 66% of grades were at B grade or better, and 80% of vocational outcomes at Distinction or better; our first full cohort secured several Oxbridge, Medicine and Vet Science places, with the great majority going to Russell Group or Top 25 Universities. We have consistently achieved a high ALPS Grade 2 at both KS4 and KS5.

Our Location & Community: The school is in beautiful new £48m buildings overlooking the Green Belt. It is easily accessible from Northern, Piccadilly and Overground rail links and buses run past the entrance. We attract students from eloquent and supportive communities across North London and Hertfordshire. We are planning an expansion in response to over-subscription.
This Role: The Media, Film and Sport Faculty is conspicuously successful both in terms of student numbers and outcomes and in the supportive, innovative and lively ethos amongst the staff team. It is housed in a suite of 3 well-equipped Mac-based Media rooms with a staff office and dedicated equipment storage space. The PE department has recently joined this Faculty and has a Sports Hall, Activity Studio, Gym and large All-Weather Pitch, with exclusive use (shortly to be confirmed) of outdoor pitches adjacent to the school. The Faculty offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses at KS4 and 5, currently including Media Studies GCSE and Film A level, Digital Media at Cambridge Technical Level 3, Creative Media Cambridge National at Level 2, PE at GCSE and Sport at Cambridge Technical Level 3.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record as a teacher of Media and/or Film, and the experience and energy to line manage the Sports Department. Experience of teaching Vocational courses is extremely advantageous, and an additional paid responsibility for Quality Assurance across Vocational Qualifications across the school could be offered to a suitable candidate.
