Head of Finance and Operations

Primary Academy: Age Range – 5-11

Full time position (37 hours per week), permanent

Responsible to Academy Principal

Start: 15th August or as soon as possible thereafter

Salary: £45,000 (neg. for an outstanding candidate)

Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank holidays – predominately to be taken in school holidays


The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Head of Finance and Operations to support the strategic vision as part of the Senior Leadership Team to ensure sound financial management. It is vital to the long-term future success of the academy that high quality finance control and business management are at the forefront of our endeavours. School Business manager experience would be preferred but not essential.


The successful candidate must be able to lead and work well as part of a team, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be highly organised and have the ability to work under pressure.


The Trustees are committed to the safeguarding of children and young people, so all staff appointments are subject to employment checks and a satisfactory enhanced DBS check. 

Candidates should indicate an acceptance of, and a commitment to, the Academy’s policies in relation to equality and safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
