A once in a career opportunity to work in a brand new, state of the art £34 million school.
This is a genuinely unique opportunity to take on a founding role at the first ‘all through’ school in Essex.
The Beaulieu Park School opened the doors to 60 Reception children in September 2018. In September 2019, another cohort will be welcomed into the Primary School, together with 180 Year 7 students. We are pleased that we are oversubscribed with families nominating us as their first choice school. The school will grow one year at a time until it is full in 2024. We are already planning our 6th form provision.
We are looking to appoint a Head of House to take responsibility for the learning, progress, attainment, behaviour and welfare of our first group of Year 7s.* This position will be key to establishing the development of a very special and exceptionally strong culture, identity and ethos here at The Beaulieu Park School.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding practitioner who has a successful record of enabling high achievement and of forging productive relationships with all students and their families regardless of their background or ability. They will be reflective, excited by taking risks and accepting that failure is a part of the learning process. They will promote lifelong learning through their constant drive to improve their own practice, as well as supporting those they lead and work alongside to develop their skills.
This role will suit an ambitious teacher with aspirations of Senior Leadership. Specific responsibilities are outlined in the Job Description.
*This is an evolving role. A second Head of House will be appointed for 2020/21 and a two more in 2021/22 to make a total of four. When the team is complete, each Head of House will be responsible for two tutor groups in each year group.
