 Contract type: Full Time Contract.  Term: Renewable 2 Year contracts but we encourage 4+ Year contracts.

Al Ain English Speaking School is looking to appoint an outstanding Head of ICT/Computer Science who will lead a department with committed, enthusiastic and experienced teachers.  We welcome applications from outstanding, self-motivated and dedicated professionals.  We’re looking for passion, enthusiasm and experience, and a love for out of the box teaching!   

As a qualified teacher, you will have significant experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, 4 & 5.  You must have a minimum of 6 years’ experience of teaching and experience of iGCSE  is desirable. We offer ICT in KS3, Computing in KS4 and KS5.

You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology: someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents.  You will be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as the classroom. You won’t be afraid of hard work and will be relentlessly focused on giving our students opportunities for success both in and beyond the classroom. Experience of, or an interest in, developing Raspberry Pi initiatives would be an advantage, or you will have something unique in your tool kit that will light the fires in the bellies of our young students.
