Dulwich College Beijing, established in 2005, is a dynamic, high-performing, co-educational independent school catering for 1460 expatriate children aged 1–18 from forty-five different countries across six continents. The College is situated in the capital city of the second largest and fastest growing economy in the world, 45 minutes from both the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square. Students excel academically and examination results are consistently among the best in Asia. It has built a reputation for excellence in sport and the arts, underpinned by a deep commitment to the individual needs and enthusiasms of each pupil.

The College comprises three schools, each with its own Head: Early Years, Junior School and Senior School. The College is selective at entry and offers the EYFS, enhanced English National Curriculum, International GCSEs and the IB Diploma. The School’s philosophy draws from 400 years of experience in education from the founding and partner school Dulwich College in London.

The Position

An outstanding opportunity exists to help lead one of the most successful international schools in China and to join a growing family of schools in Asia-Pacific. Starting in August 2018, we are looking to appoint an outstanding candidate to lead the Junior School for students aged 7-11 (Year 3-Year 6). The successful candidate should be passionate about student learning and have the drive and commitment to inspire our students and teachers. These professional attributes need to be combined with exceptional communication and leadership skills, enabling the new Head of Junior School to take a prominent role in our school community.
