Westbourne School is the only co-educational independent school (350 pupils) in Sheffield offering first class education to Sheffield girls and boys from the age of 3 to 16. With our individualised learning, we offer every child the opportunity to excel and to be the best that they can be.  We promote the values of excellence, respect and friendship and encourage children to care for themselves, each other and their surroundings. 

Dynamic and inspirational teachers are invited to apply for the above position to lead a team of dedicated professionals in Westbourne’s flourishing and highly successful Junior School. A willingness to participate in extra curricular life and/or games will also be an advantage.

Closing date: 5.00pm 6th December 2017. Short listed candidates will be notified by 8th December and interviews will be held during the week commencing 11th December 2017.

Westbourne School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through independent school in South Yorkshire, serving students from the age of 4 -16. The all-through school, situated in Sheffield has approximately 350 students on record.

Westbourne School was founded in 1885 as a boys’ preparatory school. Girls joined In 1997, and a Senior School was opened in 2001.

The all-through school’s aim is to provide a varied and enriching learning curriculum to deliver students outstanding academic teaching, along with helping to develop their sporting, musical and personal development. Community is important to the school, who promote a solid partnership with parents to ensure that children receive the encouragement and support beyond the classroom. It is important to the school that students achieve their full potential and ensures that they are taught in small class sizes to identify their individual learning needs.
