Redlands takes a holistic approach to education and values physical activity and participation in team sport as an important part of the educational journey. This position is an exciting opportunity to continue to grow and lead Redlands’ extensive Junior School (Years 3-6) Sport program for girls and boys, including aspects of K-2 Sports offerings. The Head of Junior School Sport will provide leadership and vision to, and be responsible for, Junior School Sports Administration staff and Coaches to implement effective sporting programs throughout the Junior School. The role will include a PDHPE teaching load of up to 0.2 FTE so applicants must have a teaching qualification and be registered with NESA. This is an ongoing, full-time position commencing in January Term 1, 2020.
Working in alignment with the Head of Junior School and Head of Secondary School Sport, the successful applicant will also provide strategic direction for sport at Redlands and represent the School at associations including IPSHA and HICES. Applicants must have superior organisational and communication skills, be a passionate and inspirational advocate for the benefits of school sport and have the interpersonal skills to build positive relationships at all levels of the Redlands community.
