Priory Community School Academy is outstanding (OFSTED 2014) and recognised for staff development, resultantly holding the IIP Gold Award and now recognised as a training school. Our school is situated in Worle within easy reach of M5 junction 21; many of our staff make the easy commute from Bristol or Taunton. The majority of our students move on to the four local sixth form providers.
The PCSA Science faculty are seeking a dynamic, innovative, thorough and determined professional to take a major role in furthering the development of this successful faculty.
The Science Faculty has had a history of considerable success in recent years and filling the role will require a determination to see this continue and develop to new levels. Whilst the role will involve supporting the Central Leader of Science in the day-to-day running of the faculty. It will be vital that the successful individual has a genuine passion for the furtherance of the students’ achievement and thereby developing their life chances. The post holder would be responsible for the development of a Key Stage 3 curriculum as part of a 5-year GCSE course; including assessment, home learning and course material. The successful candidate would also be required to coordinate with the Head of Key Stage 4 science to enable the delivery of outstanding lessons across the faculty.
