Head of Maths
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Head of Maths who has a proven track record and ability to motivate and inspire pupils and colleagues to achieve their full potential.
In 2017 our Maths pass rate at A Level was 100% with 91% of our pupils achieving an A*-B and at GCSE 98% of our pupils achieved a 9-4 pass with 55% at 6 or above.
The results for this department, and the number taking Maths A Level, has been high with results being strong over the past 20 years.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to drive the Maths curriculum for the future and maximise pupil engagement of this core subject across the entire School.
This role will involve the effective running of the Maths department and the leadership of four specialist Maths Teachers. The post holder will have responsibility for teaching Maths across all key stages (KS3 to KS5) and, also having an input oversight of our Prep School in respect of their delivery of the Maths curriculum.
We are looking for a candidate who will engage fully in the life of this busy day school and will be willing to be involved both in and out of the classroom. It would be an ideal appointment for someone who is looking to gain management and leadership experience before applying for a school leadership post.
Salary is according to Wisbech Grammar School’s own scale.
