We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking member of staff to lead our vibrant Modern Foreign Languages Department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented teacher who is passionate about Languages, to acquire a significant subject leadership role within a thriving and supportive environment.
Ivybridge Community College is a warm, friendly College, with students whom it is a pleasure to teach. The College provides an excellent comprehensive education and this was recognised with our fifth consecutive “Outstanding” Ofsted report in 2013.
We offer both French and Spanish across the Key Stages. Therefore, the successful candidate should be able to teach one of these languages to Key Stage 5 and the other to Key Stage 4.
You would join a team of eleven highly qualified and established teachers, who are ambitious for the students. There is a real interest in Teaching and Learning, and there is a Lead Practitioner within the Department, which is very well resourced.

Ivybridge Community College is a publicly funded non-fee paying mixed comprehensive secondary school for children in Ivybridge and surrounding area.
