Head of Modern Foreign Languages - April or September start

Rainham School for Girls are looking to appoint an inspirational, highly skilled Head of Modern Foreign Languages with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, to work within our enthusiastic, dedicated Modern Foreign Languages Faculty. An ability to teach French and German is preferable. This post will attract a competitive Teaching and Learning Responsibility.

In this role you will have responsibility for leading our innovative Modern Foreign Languages team and raising attainment further across all Key Stages and in all disciplines. 

The preferred candidate will: 

  • be an inspirational teacher of French and German across the key stages 
  • be able to motivate and collaborate with staff to plan and teach engaging lessons which support  students to make rapid progress 
  • be able to establish strong relationships and have excellent interpersonal skills 
  • demonstrate a passion about the role of Modern Foreign Languages within education 
  • be up to date with curriculum developments and be innovative in implementing them across Modern Foreign Languages.
