Churcher’s College Junior School and Nursery is a vibrant and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to be curious, confident and adventurous learners. Guided by a strong ‘have a go’ philosophy, we aim for every child to achieve their personal best, both academically and beyond the classroom.

Our broad and enriching curriculum offers children a wide range of subjects and experiences, fostering a love of learning alongside creativity, resilience and independence. From academic challenge to activities that feed the soul, pupils are inspired to explore their interests and develop as well-rounded individuals.

Located just an hour from London, Churcher’s College is set across two beautiful countryside campuses within the South Downs National Park in Hampshire, close to the borders of Surrey and West Sussex. The Junior School and Nursery are based in leafy Liphook, just ten minutes from the Senior School and Sixth Form in Petersfield. Both campuses benefit from generous on-site playing fields and excellent facilities, all surrounded by open, green countryside.

This setting allows children to enjoy a genuine countryside childhood before making a smooth and well-supported transition to the Senior School at the age of eleven. Strong pastoral care, high-quality teaching and learning, and a warm, family atmosphere underpin everything we do.

Our History

Founded in 1722 following a generous bequest from Richard Churcher, the College has a long tradition of educational excellence. In 2022, Churcher’s celebrated its 300th anniversary with a year of commemorative events, including the planting of almost 2,000 trees to create Tercentenary Wood.
