Head of Physical Education

As we embark on the recruitment process for our third year of opening, our staff team is still comparatively small. The successful applicant will therefore be expected to work closely with SLT and be fully committed to developing the leadership and educational provision within PE. They also need to be willing and flexible in order to navigate the demands of temporary accommodation and to have a strong desire to be part of the founding cohort of staff. We are looking for leaders who have the ambition to shape the school into an outstanding provider. Whilst we have no preferred gender for applicants, please be advised that the post holder will be delivering PE lessons to the boys groups.

The successful candidate will be committed to the students and academy life and will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students with whom they are required to work.

Archway Learning Trust, previously Bluecoat Academies Trust, was formed in April 2014 as a result of the very long and successful history of Bluecoat Academy. We welcomed three further secondary schools in Derby to the Trust in 2021 and opened Bluecoat Trent Academy, a secondary Free School in Nottingham, in September 2021.
