Head of Prep School

We are seeking an inspirational and energetic Head to lead and manage our vibrant Prep School and to articulate in conjunction with the Headmaster a clear vision for the future of the school that conforms to its aims, values, traditions and ethos. Applicants should have strong academic qualifications, proven experience of successful leadership and management. Applicants should also be able to illustrate experience and contemporary understanding of successful EYFS provision. The successful candidate will have the personal qualities to lead, motivate and inspire the Prep School and will be able to demonstrate natural authority, leading by example and commanding the respect of pupils, staff and parents.

Hampshire Collegiate School (HCS) is a warm and welcoming independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2–18. The Prep School is a member of IAPS and as part of Hampshire Collegiate School offers progression and continuity of learning. At HCS we place a strong focus on academic ambition and produce resilient, creative and independent learners who are flexible and proactive, who can solve problems, make decisions, think critically and communicate ideas effectively. The school occupies the home of Florence Nightingale and our 130 acres of parkland provide a beautiful space in which to work and enable pupils to learn, play, compete and achieve.
