Head of Primary
Main Responsibilities of the post include:
1. Help develop a strong primary team, lead on developing curriculum content and resourcing the school as it grows.
2. Be accountable for the teaching, learning and assessment of the Primary School to ensure excellent outcomes for all
3. Be innovative and forward thinking and to ensure the school is recognised world wide for its success
4. Lead the Primary School SMT
5. Direct Heads of Departments to ensure continuity and progression throughout the school
6. Liaise with administrative departments to ensure efficient administrative management of the school
7. To be a figurehead in the promotion of Wellington College International Hangzhou and its aims, standards and ideals and to model these both in the school and in the wider community
8. Control budgets and finances within the primary school and offer direction and support to Heads of Departments when aspects of financial responsibility are delegated to them
9. Report to the Master on all issues relating to the efficient management and organisation of the Primary School
10. Under the direction of the Master, to be responsible for the recruitment and employment of all primary school academic and administrative support staff
