With 850 pupils, aged from 3 to 13, Dulwich Prep London is the largest boys’ independent prep school in the UK. Located in the heart of Dulwich, the school is proud of its rich history of ‘inspiring excellence’ since 1885; today we are firmly focused on preparing our boys for the future.

We are looking for an outstanding Head of Reception (70 pupils) to join the thriving Early Years department which occupies a modern purpose-built facility. The candidate should be creative and energetic with an excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and leadership experience at this level.

This long-established and well-known preparatory school educates boys aged 3 to 13 (girls 3 to 4), preparing them for entrance and scholarship examinations to independent London day schools and boarding schools across the country. Re-branded in 2011, the school aims to challenge boys in their pursuit of excellence and to inspire each pupil to realise his full potential. Sport, Music and Art are encouraged to a high standard. There are many out-of-school activities, including a wide variety of holiday trips.

The main ages for entry are at three, four and seven years, with smaller entries at five and eight. There are occasional vacancies at other ages.
