Montcrest School invites applications for the position of Head of School.
Overlooking Riverdale Park in the Broadview and Danforth area of Toronto, Montcrest School is a co-educational, elementary day school with 320 students enrolled in JK – Grade 8. The School offers an exceptional academic experience, with balanced opportunities in leadership, the arts, and athletics. An emphasis is placed on character development and community service, and the challenging core curriculum is taught in a structured and nurturing environment where students receive individual attention and excellent instruction in small classes. Montcrest aspires to be recognized as the leading elementary school in Canada, excelling at nurturing and supporting the uniqueness of each child.
The new Head will join an institution that is well-governed, financially secure, staffed by highly motivated and committed teachers and staff, and supported by a community of parents who value education and have a high regard for the School. Although Montcrest is operating at a high level on every front, having enjoyed eight years of strong and stable leadership from its retiring Head, it is also ready and eager for the next phase of its development, and the new Head will have an exceptional opportunity to lead the School to greater levels of excellence.
