Job overview

With the retirement of our dedicated Head of School, Howard West, late next year, the Board of Governors of the Australian International School Hong Kong (AISHK) seeks to appoint our next Head of School.

Established in 1995, AISHK is a non-profit, co-educational day school for students from Reception to Year 12 for 1,100 students. AISHK’s strength has always been its diversity. While founded on Australian educational values, we welcome students from 25 different nationalities and have pride in our place in Hong Kong and in the broader connections we have across Asia. Our international focus is complemented by a warm, vibrant, inclusive and highly engaged school community. The School has demonstrated its resilience through COVID-19 with strong enrolments and a healthy financial position.

We are a non-selective school where each child is given every opportunity to reach their full potential. We offer both the Australian NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, achieving excellent results in both. Alongside our academic program, our well-being and co-curricular programs offer all students the opportunity to develop, grow and thrive, achieving their own personal best and emerging as skilled, compassionate and responsible global citizens.

Our new Head will work with us on the development of the School’s next strategic plan, continue our commitment to the ongoing enhancement of educational programs, support the further development of our staff, and forge close relationships with our students, their families and the broader community.
