First and foremost, the person appointed will be an outstanding practitioner with a track record of leading highly effective schools. They will have gained a broad range of professional experience of working with a variety of educational settings beyond their own school. We are looking for an exceptional educator with excellent professional interpersonal skills to work alongside our capable and highly motivated school leaders to embed Avanti ethos and high standards in all aspects of school life. As a member of our central team serving a family of seven schools, the person appointed will play a key role in achieving educational excellence, character formation and spiritual insight for all our children and young people irrespective of their backgrounds, beliefs and individual characteristics.

The Successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

Ø Exceptional oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Ø Commitment to advancing the distinctive Avanti ethos and vision.

Ø The ability to inspire professionals and create high performing teams.

Ø Able to influence ideas and opinions to achieve the desired improvements.

Due to the nature of this role, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken. In making your application, it is essential you disclose whether you have any pending charges, convictions, bind-overs or cautions and, if so, for which offences. This post will be exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Therefore, applicants are not entitled to withhold information about convictions which for other purposes are ‘spent’ under the provision of the Act, and, in the event of the employment being taken up; any failure to disclose such convictions will result in dismissal or disciplinary action. The fact that a pending charge, conviction, bind-over or caution has been recorded against you will not necessarily debar you from consideration for this appointment.

We welcome applications from both men and women of all ages from any background and from candidates with disabilities.

The DEADLINE for applications is midday on Monday 13th August 2018.
