Tes is currently supporting a friendly and supportive secondary academy, based in Staffordshire. The school is looking to appoint a Head of School to their progressive and supportive academy ideally starting in September 2021.

As Head of School, you will lead by example. You will have strategic oversight over the day-to-day operations at the school and will lead, making improvements to ensure the best outcome for the school's pupils and bridging the gap. The school is well on its ways to Good and requires a senior leader to lead with incremental improvements to ensure at least a 'Good' rating in its next Ofsted visit.

You will work alongside the Executive Headteacher and Director of Secondary to drive a positive outcome at the next inspection and beyond.  Through the role, you will set clear expectations, be a role model and a strong presence in the school. The school expects:

• A UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT, BEd or MEd with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• a relevant Education or relevant Degree

• experience of leading a school with an improvement plan in place either as a Senior Leader, Deputy or Head of School

• demonstrated impact working as a senior leader in an 11 - 16 secondary school enviorment

• a love and passion for education.
