Prendergast School is a happy and successful girls’ school, located in a vibrant part of Lewisham in South East London.  We are the lead in a hard federation of 3 schools with one Governing body.  The school has around 850 girls at Key Stages 3 and 4 and 350 students in a rapidly expanding federation sixth form.

Described by Ofsted as outstanding, the school’s academic success puts it in the top 100 comprehensives in the country. High expectations and a drive for excellence underpin the life of the school both in and out of the classroom.  We encourage our pupils to reach their highest potential and enable them to develop into confident, skilled young women with the ability to make appropriate, informed decisions and take a leading role in society as responsible citizens. Our pupils come from a wide range of social and ethnic backgrounds and this diversity helps to make the school such an exciting and special place. Pupils, staff, parents and governors all have high expectations of themselves and each other and strong and positive relationships exist between all members of the school community.
