Hartland International School is seeking to appoint an exceptional and dynamic, well-qualified Teacher of Science to lead a small and growing Science team.
The school which opened in September 2015, is rapidly developing a reputation for excellence in learning and teaching. Located in the heart of Dubai, in a developing residential community, Hartland’s unique vantage point is the iconic landmark of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Mall and Downtown Business area of the city. The school will operate from Foundation Stage to Year 9 and anticipates natural year on year growth in the secondary section in the coming years. We offer the National Curriculum for England and plan to offer GCSE’s / IGCSE’s, ‘A’ Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

The successful candidate will be required to show leadership in securing standards of excellence in teaching and learning and will have the necessary skills needed to devise a curriculum which will stimulate and motivate students to achieve. There is a very strong enrichment programme at the school and the successful candidate will be expected to make a contribution to this, joining a committed and exceptional staff group.

The successful candidate will:
Hold a relevant honours degree, BA / BSc with PGCE / PGDE and QTS or equivalent
Have experience of teaching the National Curriculum for England whether that be in the UK or in an international setting
Have a minimum 5 years’ teaching experience
Exceptional communication skills
Be committed to the Hartland Values
