HEAD OF SCIENCE (TLR 1B £9472)  

The Arnewood School is a successful converter academy serving the attractive town of New Milton on the edge of The New Forest National Park and within a mile of the sea. We have a strong and committed staff body serving our Year 7 to Year 14 school. Sixth Form ALPS data places the school in the top 10% of schools nationally.    

Required for September 2018, an inspirational Head of Science to lead the teaching of biology, chemistry and physics at KS3, KS4 and post 16 to high quality outcomes. 

You will be working with a collaborative, supportive and hardworking team of teachers and technicians. Our laboratories have been recently renovated and provide an excellent environment for learning. This post would suit an experienced colleague or individual seeking a promotion from a middle leadership position in science.   All students have iPad computers and resources provided on our school Firefly VLE. Enquiry based study and practical experimentation are important characteristics underpinning science teaching at The Arnewood School.
