Head of Senior Section (Barra Site)
An exciting opportunity to lead and further develop the Senior Section at the Barra Site, through its continued phase of growth. The successful candidate will work closely with a small Senior Leadership Team and report directly to the Head of Barra Site, as well as liaising with the Director. The Head of Senior Section will lead a team of around 45 secondary teachers and be responsible for approximately 350 students from the ages of 11 to 18 years, following KS3, IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes. The successful candidate will work to promote quality teaching and learning, raise achievement, develop the curriculum and ensure consistency across subject departments and across the whole school. We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational team-builder, with a proven track record of leading and managing change.
Applications from married teaching couples are welcome as are speculative applications since there may be other teaching opportunities within the school beyond the posts advertised.
The school is a non-profit co-educational day school of around 2200 students aged 2 to 18 years on three sites.
The Primary sections follow the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) and the Secondary sections follow KS3, IGCSE and IB Diploma programmes.
