KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Overall responsibility for the Sixth Form and the A Level (in first instance) and in the future, IB Diploma programme

2. The coordination and effective delivery of the teaching and pastoral care in the Sixth Form, in close conjunction with the Director of Studies and Deputy Head of the Sixth Form 

3. Achieving the highest standards of performance in the A Level/IB programme. 

4. Design, development and implementation of the Sixth Form calendar including managing exam deadlines.  

5. Managing parental communications particularly with regard to timely information on Sixth Form matters.

6. Be an active member of the SLT and other staff teams as appropriate

7. Lead on teaching, learning and assessment and be accountable for the educational standards across the Sixth Form

8. Lead pastoral care with oversight of wellbeing of all pupils in the Sixth Form

9. To be a figurehead in the promotion of Wellington College International Hangzhou and its aims, standards and ideals and to model these both in the school and in the wider community 

10. Control budgets and finances within the Sixth Form and offer direction and support to Sixth Form subject leaders when aspects of financial responsibility are delegated to them

11. Report to the Master on all issues relating to the efficient management and organisation of the Sixth Form

12. Be innovative and forward thinking and to ensure the school is recognised world wide for its success
