Which is why we will build upon Withernsea High School’s fine reputation for design technology and engineering by creating a centre of excellence where students develop the knowledge and skills that allow them to access a broad range of opportunities.

Understanding the importance of digital technology in the 21st century, our Head of Technology will develop a strong curriculum that incorporates ICT, design technology (electronics), food technology, resistant materials, and engineering. Looking clearly to the needs of our future workforce, you will incorporate business studies into this forward-thinking faculty.

With purpose built, high-quality facilities and continued strong recruitment at Key Stage 4 for engineering, electronics, food and resistant materials you will work with a dedicated team of specialists to develop these subjects to meet the challenges and opportunities of our locality and our region whilst supporting our students to achieve meaningful qualifications.

Withernsea High School is a smaller than average local authority maintained secondary school. Situated in Holderness, and with a coastal location, it has all the advantages of a pleasant rural environment. There is affordable housing in the town of Withernsea and in the surrounding villages house prices are relatively low.

The school benefitted from a rebuild and refurbishment in 2016 and as such is spacious, modern and fully resourced.

Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR1 £9,997
