We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to become a Head of Year. This is a great opportunity for a talented teacher to provide professional leadership and management across a year group, effective pastoral support and secure high quality learning outcomes. Roedean pupils are exceptionally well-behaved, highly motivated to succeed academically and demonstrate care and compassion for others. Your leadership will help them to further develop their self-confidence and challenge themselves to be the very best they can be.
Roedean is at a very exciting time in its development, with its best ever academic results over the last 5 years, unprecedented growth in pupil numbers, development of first class facilities across the site, including a £12m refurbishment of the boarding houses and the launch of the Roedean Group of Schools. We welcome your interest in being part of our continuing journey.
While the role would suit a current Head of Year we are keen to attract applicants whose experience will not, as yet, cover all aspects of the role. Our experienced Senior Leadership Team will provide the training and 1-1 mentoring to enable you to excel in the role. The position would also suit someone keen to develop the depth of experience to prepare themselves for a pastoral leadership role within the next 1-2 years. The Head of Year will teach 10 – 12 periods per week.

Closing date: 9am, Friday 23 November 2018.
Interviews will be held: 4 December 2018.
Roedean is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check is required for all successful applications.
