Head of Year (non-teaching)

We are looking for five outstanding individuals to lead our most challenging students so they access and engage in learning, in turn benefiting from a full and enriching educational experience.

As Head of Learning you will lead by example to implement and deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils and to support the curriculum area as appropriate: Monitor and support the overall progress and development of pupils and facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.

The successful candidate will:

•        Supporting the senior leadership team and staff in implementing a vision for excellence by providing a level of service to all stakeholders based on high standards.

•        Supporting the senior leadership team and colleagues in creating a climate hospitable to education in order that safety, a co-operative spirit and other foundations of fruitful

interaction prevail.

•        Cultivating leadership in others so that students and colleagues assume their parts in

realising the school vision.

•        Providing a level of service which enables teachers to teach and students to learn.

•        Provide a high standard of pastoral care and support to students and their families.

Hours: Full Time, permanent plus 3 weeks (Including 5 INSET days)

Salary Grade: Band 3 £24,000- £30,000 FTE (Dependent on Experience)

Responsible to: Senior Vice Principal
