George Salter Academy is a happy and vibrant 11-18 academy, serving a multi-cultural community in the heart of West Bromwich and we are pleased to announce that an exciting opportunity has arisen for Head of Year to join the team from September 2024.
The successful candidate will:
- provide high quality leadership and management for Form Tutors within the academy
- be accountable for all pastoral KPIs within a designated year group
- be accountable for learning and achievement in a designated year group, securing high quality teaching, effective usage of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement
- develop effective partnerships with all Heads of Department and their teams to secure high levels of student progress/achievement using intervention strategies when necessary
- at all times safeguard the students well-being and follow all child protection/safeguarding policies rigorously.
Applications are encouraged from specialists in any subject, particularly English and MFL.
