Teaching ServiceHunter River High School is a comprehensive, co–educational secondary school with an enrolment of approximately 900 students, 20% of whom identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. Our school is located on Worimi land, close to the Hunter River at Heatherbrae, south of Raymond Terrace.

Exceptional organisational, communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to utilise consultative and inclusive practices to develop effective partnerships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.

Demonstrated experience in understanding, implementing and overseeing the use of online administration systems such as Sentral, Timetabler, NESA entries and SAP, to manage school staffing and organisation.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as an effective member of the school executive team to lead, manage and implement programs and initiatives that improve student engagement, attendance and outcomes.

This is an Above Centrally Identified permanent teacher position established through school funds. The successful candidate’s continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of this funding, the ongoing requirement for the role and the educational needs of the school. Should the funding or the requirement for the position cease, the teacher will receive nominated transfer status; please refer to the Staffing Procedure for the Teaching Service in NSW Public Schools for additional information.
