St Mary’s Kenmure is a secure facility that offers a controlled, safe and secure environment for the care and education of young people who are referred from the Courts and Children’s Hearings. Young people from all over Scotland and England will, from time to time, be accommodated at St Mary’s Kenmure. We care for 24 young people, in four house units each housing 6 young people
We also offer a wide range of academic and vocational subjects to allow our young people to learn and develop during their stay, along with a variety of recreational facilities including a seven-aside football pitch, gymnasium, fitness suite and a swimming pool.
For the role of Head Teacher we are looking to appoint an inspirational enthusiastic and forward thinking Head Teacher to lead us in the planning and implementation of our school development. We are looking for someone to provide stability and build on improvement work.

Your drive, commitment and resilience will be essential as you prepare yourself and others to take on the challenge of leading and inspiring our teachers and support staff to work with you on improving the lives of all the young people in our care. You will be energized by the chance to lead and guide education on its new direction.
The successful applicant will work alongside a strong team including Teachers, Support Staff, Senior Management and Care Workers to form a collaborative approach between Education and Care. We are looking for a Head Teacher who will bring great leadership, passion and vision to developing and delivering high quality education for our young people

You must be fully GTCs registered or have the ability to become registered with the GTCs.
