Teaching ServiceAuburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 800 girls, 98% of whom have a language background other than English. The school has increasingly outstanding HSC and NAPLAN results due to a strong commitment to building collective teacher efficacy with target areas in literacy and evidence-based practices. Auburn Girls High School has developed a strengths-based Positive Education wellbeing platform where every student is known, valued and cared for within a culture of high expectations and academic rigour. - Approval to teach English 7 - 12 and demonstrated capacity to teach English Advanced and Extension 1.
- Demonstrated capacity to model the role of lead learner with expertise in curriculum and assessment, and leading and supporting the English faculty to improve learning outcomes for a diverse range of students including GAT.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills with a capacity to build productive teams and promote professional learning and practice with a strong focus on improving students literacy outcomes.
- Demonstrated capacity to be a dynamic member of the executive leadership team and to lead initiatives in accordance with the school’s strategic directions and nurture positive, quality relationships with students, staff and parents.
