Teaching ServiceWauchope High School is a rural school located in the Hastings Valley west of Port Macquarie. Our school is a comprehensive, co-educational campus of 550 students and a proud member of the Bago Community of Schools. We are focussed on providing outstanding opportunities and educational experiences for all students. Our students access multiple pathways to their learning and are able to pursue, with equal ease and quality an academic, vocational or multifaceted pathway to future success and employment.
The school provides opportunity for students to develop their sporting, cultural and social skills in an environment that provides excellent student wellbeing support and aims to build creative, resilient and productive individuals. A significant number of students are achieving educational success at a level that was not realised by their parents. The gradual and steady improvement of literacy and numeracy skills of all students is a key priority in our school.
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
Capacity to implement and model effective differentiated teaching practices that cater for a range of students.
Ability to lead a faculty in developing and implementing high quality teaching and learning programs that foster student engagement and improve student learning outcomes and growth.
Ability to analyse data to inform, develop and deliver initiatives to improve the learning experiences and outcomes of all students.
Proven ability to work collaboratively to build and maintain a strong and cohesive faculty team and support the school’s whole school priorities in addressing the school’s strategic directions.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
