Millburn Academy is one of the largest secondary schools in the Highland Council area. This catchment area includes Crown, Daviot, Drakies, Inshes, Milton of Leys, Raigmore and Strathdearn Primary Schools that are all part of our associated school group.

The school roll at present is around 1130 pupils and there are 115 members of staff, 70 of whom are teachers.

The £26 million state of the art building has a range of classrooms with specialist facilities, an integral base for children with additional support needs, a four court games hall, a gymnasium, dance studio, a library and a performance venue.

Living in the Highlands:
A home with a heart

Covering 10,000 square miles of some of Scotland’s most stunning landscapes, the region offers everything from the vibrant city of Inverness to some of Europe’s most breath taking beaches, as well as a rich heritage and Gaelic culture. Little wonder then that this is one of the most sought after places to live in the UK.

The region boasts a great range of housing, both traditional and new build, plus great schools, leisure and arts facilities and healthcare.

A quarter of a million people call the region home. Why not join them?

You will be joining a high performing successful organisation located in a unique part of the country, a removal and relocation package of up to £6,500 is available if you relocate to Highland.

Across Highland Council our school leaders work to provide an integrated service for children and families, bringing together colleagues across health, education and social care in a single Care and Learning Service. We have an embedded practice model across all professional disciplines, achieving full implementation of ‘Getting it right for every child’.

Highland Council is committed to the enhancement and delivery of learning and teaching through a digital learning project, which will provide pupils with 1 to 1 devices from P6 to S6.
