Highland Council is recruiting promoted teachers in both the primary and secondary sectors.
In Highland Council we are proud of our reputation for high educational standards. We strive to ensure that our young people maximise their potential. We believe that high quality learning and teaching underpins the success of our learners. All staff are well supported and have good access to opportunities for professional development.
Across the extensive Highland Council area our school leaders work to provide an integrated service for children and families, bringing together colleagues across health, education and social care in a single Care and Learning
Service. We have an embedded practice model across all professional disciplines, achieving full implementation of ‘Getting it right for every child’.
Highland Council has begun an ambitious Management of Schools programme which aims to strengthen the support for head teachers as leaders of learning and teaching and to sustain schools in local areas.
Highland Council is committed to the enhancement and delivery of learning and teaching through a digital learning project, which will provide pupils with 1 to 1 devices from P6 to S6.
The Highlands is an area of outstanding natural beauty with a rich heritage and Gaelic culture along with excellent schools and safe communities making it a great place to work and live.
