We require an inspirational leader, totally committed to enabling our students and staff to aspire to Scalby’s maxim of ‘being the best we can be’.
Scalby School is a thriving school of 1000 students aged 11-16, situated in the North of Scarborough on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. It enjoys an excellent reputation in the area and is significantly over-subscribed as a result.
This vacancy arises from the current Headteacher’s decision to step down from full-time leadership, though he will remain as CEO of Scalby Learning Trust of which the school is the founding member. It is envisaged that at least two schools will join the Trust in the next academic year.

Scalby Academy is a successful and popular 11-16 community school based in picturesque seaside town of Scarborough on the North Yorkshire Coast. We currently have approximately 1000 students on roll. In recent years we have become the school of choice in our local community. Our P8 score in 2024 placed us in the top 14% of schools nationally again.
