Located in Ardrossan, North Ayrshire, Scotland, Ardrossan Academy is a co-educational six-year secondary school. First established in 1882, the school moved onto its current site in 1971, and has seen extensive redevelopment and modernisation since its founding. With around 1000 students, Ardrossan Academy is significantly larger than the average secondary school of its type.

As well as having high academic expectations of their students, the school also strives to properly develop the social and emotional intelligence of its students, whilst also providing them with proper support and guidance with regards to their options upon leaving school.
