Head

The Royal High School (RHS) is a leading independent day and boarding school, providing an outstanding, contemporary, girl-centred education.

The School was established in 1998, through the coming together of two independent girls’ schools in Bath. The creation of RHS reinforced the commitment to girls’ only education that was held by both schools for over a century. 

The School is situated across two sites (Prep School and Senior School) located close to the centre of Bath, both of which offer a mixture of historic buildings and purpose-built new teaching facilities. These provide a learning environment which is rich, vibrant and creative. With 610 girls aged 3-18, the School is part of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST), a family of 25 girls’ schools. Uniquely within the GDST, RHS offers boarding from Year 7, and also offers the IB as well as A-Level at Sixth Form.
