Job overview

Park Street Church of England Primary School is a remarkable school in a unique location right in the heart of historic Cambridge, with the University colleges and city centre on its doorstep.  For over 140 years it has provided an excellent education with a Christian ethos.

We are seeking someone who aspires to be an exceptional headteacher to lead and inspire our team of experienced and dedicated staff from April or September 2019.

The school is renowned for the close-knit community formed by the pupils across all year groups, and also by the staff, parents and governors.  Given its size, the headteacher can get to know all the pupils and parents quickly, and have the opportunity to continue teaching in the classroom.

We aim to be an unreservedly welcoming and inclusive school. In recent years, children of 23 different nationalities have been pupils here, creating a diverse and international group that enriches the learning environment.

An application pack and application form can be downloaded from this webpage or from www.epm.co.uk, or requested by email: headship@epm.co.uk.

We strongly encourage potential applicants to visit the school.  The children would show you around and you would be able to see for yourself the exciting challenges and opportunities that the school has to offer.

Closing date for applications: Tuesday 26 February 2019, 9.00am.

Interviews: Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 March 2019.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects its staff to share this commitment. The post-holder must uphold this commitment at all times. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
