The retirement of our current Headteacher has opened an opportunity for you to lead our hardworking team in a superb new facility.

We seek to appoint a Headteacher who has vision and drive, with an innovative and strategic approach to lead this vibrant and outward looking school, where children can flourish and develop life-long learning skills.

You will raise pupils' outcomes through the continual improvement of all aspects of school life, with emphasis on staff development and an outstanding quality of teaching and learning.

Excellent communication skills with pupils, staff, families and governors are key along with a firm commitment to promoting excellent behaviour and safeguarding for all children.

About our School:

Hilderthorpe Primary is a growing school which is thriving, happy and forward thinking, with 399 pupils, ranging from 3-11 years old.

Following our Ofsted inspection in September 2016, we were selected by the East Riding School Improvement Partnership to be part of their 'Good to Outstanding ' programme. You will drive our ongoing aspiration to become an outstanding school.

In January 2019, we relocated into our new building, housing valuable new facilities such as a STEM room, music studio and library. Set in generous grounds, there are opportunities to develop the outside areas and it is hoped that these facilities will be used to further links with the local community.

We currently hold the ENTHUSE award for the best primary school for science in the country and we are a leading school for reading and writing.

Our curriculum is broad and our dedicated staff work hard to ensure pupils enjoy learning and achieve a high quality education.
