We offer provision for 30 hour places, breakfast and lunch clubs, after school and holiday clubs together with an enriching Forest School.

With the upcoming retirement of our Headteacher, this is an exciting opportunity to take our popular Nursery School onto the next phase of its journey from Good to Outstanding. Whether you are an existing Headteacher, a Deputy or Phase Leader in a large school looking for your next challenge, you will have a passion for Early Years, high expectations for all our children and the desire to further develop the role of the nursery as a centre of excellence for Early Years education in Hertfordshire.

The governing body believes that the right person for our Nursery School will be:

  • A leader who can build effective relationships and work in partnership with pupils, parents, staff and the local community.
  • A leader with a track record of achieving excellent outcomes and progress for young children.
  • A leader who is energetic, looking to research and practice to inform the direction of their work.
  • A leader with a coaching and mentoring approach in their management style with the ability to inspire and lead change and development.
  • A leader who has creativity, flair and an interest in finance to ensure that the nursery continues to develop and thrive.

In return we offer:

  • A committed, supportive and approachable governing board who enjoy being involved with the Nursery.
  • A rich learning environment with well-resourced indoor and outdoor provision.
  • Confident, inquisitive children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Dedicated professional staff with a wide range of skills and talents.
  • The opportunity to lead a setting that is unique and will develop your skills.

We have wonderful children starting their lives in this happy and vibrant setting and invite you to visit to our Nursery prior to your application. Please contact our Chair of Governors Judy Davies to arrange. Tel: 01442 255506 email: chair@heathlane.herts.sch.uk
