Headteacher, King’s Academy Northern Parade

We are looking for an enthusiastic Headteacher to lead King’s Academy Northern Parade in Portsmouth as they continue on their journey to providing the best possible education for every child.   With aims to equip and nurture pupils to develop their resilience and become creative and independent thinkers, colleagues are working together to deliver the academy improvement plan to ensure a high-quality learning environment.

Collectively, King’s Group Academies share a vision of a global community of pupils and colleagues whose connection broadens horizons and fosters understanding.  We have a passion for working collaboratively within our UK communities and more widely, promoting international citizenship.

Our new Headteacher will demonstrate leadership in all aspects of school life and stimulate positive models of inquiry, reflection, challenge, and innovation.  To be successful in this role you will share our vision and have the ability to manage performance effectively in order to continue improvement with positivity, resilience, and drive.  This means we are looking for a candidate that can inspire, motivate and grow their teams towards educational excellence whilst maintaining a culture of openness where all voices within the community are heard and valued.

Our new Headteacher will, in turn, benefit from the support of an established leadership team, a network of Headteacher colleagues across the Trust, and the line leadership of the Director of Academy Improvement.  We place significant emphasis on the value of the shared contributions of all our academies and believe that through this we can achieve sustainable growth and deliver our mission to equip all pupils with the confidence, knowledge, skills, and values that will enable them to thrive in the modern world.  We currently comprise nine academies across Berkshire, Hampshire, and Sussex.

The closing date for applications is 9 am on 12th June 2023

The selection process will consist of a full-day assessment center and a second interview in the same week.  It is intended that these will take place during the week commencing 26th June 2023.
