Job overview

Jubilee Primary School is looking for a strong and committed leader to guide us into our next phase of development.

The school serves a diverse local community in Brixton and our teachers work with families to help children of all backgrounds and abilities to flourish. Pupils make strong academic progress and benefit from a broad curriculum with a particular emphasis on music.

This is a key moment for Jubilee as we look to build on the steady progress of recent years.

The school’s governing board is seeking to appoint a headteacher who:

  • Is ambitious for our school, and able to communicate a clear vision for how to become an outstanding provider.
  • Will deliver an inclusive learning environment with high standards for all.
  • Can motivate, recruit and develop staff and build good working relationships with the wider school community.
  • Has strong experience as a headteacher, head of school, or deputy head.

We can offer:

  • The opportunity to lead a school that is steadily improving (judged Good by Ofsted in 2016).
  • A vibrant atmosphere where children enjoy sport, gardening, art, drama and music, with free violin tuition for years 1&2.
  • Talented and dedicated staff who care about pupils’ progress and development.
  • A pleasant, modern school building with great transport links from Brixton.
  • The chance to make a difference to children and the local area.

We welcome visits to the school, which can be arranged by contacting Clare Lee on 020 8678 6530 (ext 203) or emailing clee@jubilee.lambeth.sch.uk.
